Waycobah is a Mi'kmaq reserve. There are 700 people and 50% of our people speak our Mi'kmaq language. About 60% of the Mi'kmaq people are employed and about 40% are unemployed. Our language is taught at school as well as home. During the summer, students that are returning to school in the fall have an opportunity to get a job. We have workshops to help prepare us for interviews. Our reserve helps us in every way that it can and prepares us for the future.
